I see a few idiots who don't know squat about gender identity or confusion making proclamations here. God, ignorance is ugly.
And unless this is the troop the OP "planned and hoped" their daughter would join it doesn't even matter. Start your own fracking troop.
People must have pathetic and boring lives to get worked up about what a little boy wants. This does not affect me one way or another so I could give a rats behind.
They are going to let this little freak of nature join. Guess that's another group my daughter will NOT be joining as we had planned on and hoped for. Such a disgusting thing. Are there any other groups like this that kids can join?
Perhaps you are being unusually harsh? When I was young (Brownie/ cub scout age), I was an "official" Brownie, but also joined the neighborhood cub scouts meeting, as my natural interests ran much more towards the outdoors, camping, wildlife, etc. I grew up to be a normal, heterosexual adult (not that I think there is anything "wrong" with homosexuality, it is a normal variation), but my activities as a youngster reflected my most sustained interests. I am now retired, and volunteer at a wildlife rescue organization.

Did you "live as a boy," as the spokeshole asserts this boy "lives as a girl?"

It's pathetic to ask why his parents encourage him to "live like a girl?"
What does that mean, exactly?
