I can certainly see how that makes a huge difference.
It IS a huge difference. When one pays for a ticket to hear a person sing, then that is what is expected. The crowd came to hear music,...not politics. Shut up and SING.
Since the CMA is entirely an awards program that is televised nationally, it is a far cry from being a concert venue. The CMA is a television event, and if something irks the viewer, then just change channels.
One involves the price of a ticket,....the other doesn't, since there are few who could get into the CMA even if they desired. But, I suspect you knew that all along......
Who cares. The guy said something stupid, really stupid but the only ones holding a grudge and have chips on their shoulders are the trailer trash with cash (better known as country music singers)
I thought it was disrespectful, arrogant and obnoxious when entertainers, artists, actors, etc said ridiculous things about President Bush and I think the same should apply to President Obama. You people are not paid to pontificate so just shut up and sing.
Hank Williams JR is clearly winning the media war that started when he was wrongly attacked for making a comparison that most Obama sack riders aren't smart enough to understand.
More power to ya Hank, tell that goon to shove his Chicago politics.
