Yep, make the rounds....Herman is not good enough and standing fast...and you lefties cannot stand that...nothing news worthy...

That's alright though...

In her Sept. 11 interview with ABC's Charlie Gibson, Sarah Palin had this to say about Russia: "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska." Is that true?

Yes. Russia and Alaska are divided by the Bering Strait, which is about 55 miles at its narrowest point. In the middle of the Bering Strait are two small, sparsely populated islands: Big Diomede, which sits in Russian territory, and Little Diomede, which is part of the United States. At their closest, these two islands are a little less than two and a half miles apart, which means that, on a clear day, you can definitely see one from the other.

Can you really see Russia from Alaska? - Slate Magazine
Don't bring fact into this....it confuses the left....

Deflection...telling the truth...or lie, to make a person look bad?

Chuck, you do know that the ridiculous part of all of this was not really about seeing Russia, don't you? That it was said in context of Palin attempting to show that she had national security experience, and not about the fact that on a clear day, if you stand on a remote little island on the U.S. side of the Bering Straight you can see another remote little island on the Russian side?

I actually have some respect for Sarah Palin. Her ideas and mine don't mesh. That is all. I never hated her.

Anyone that thinks proximity to Russia = foreign policy experience is a grade A moron. The village called, it's idiot is missing, where can he/she be?

Exactly what would Palin bring to this election. Finance/Economy is out in the forefront and this is definitely not her strong suit. She's a beacon for the right, but likley will never hold office again. I suspect she'll get a show on Fox and contribute that way.
