You know we do have secret police right? The NJ State Police uncovered them in NJ and they said they had jurisdiction from the CIA to be on covert operations in NJ. Not a conspiracy theory, real news, but the "real" news stations didn't pay much attention to it. It's basically a secret police force within the CIA and NYPD that track civilian movements. The CIA has no authority to do so domestically, so they created a secret police force within the NYPD to track "terrorist" leads secretly throughout the country.

"I have signed this bill despite having serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation, and prosecution of suspected terrorists"

What a wuss, it's embarrassing to see how his bold attitude faded once he entered the White House, you can see the strings on his limbs.

He really is a wuss. I mean, I thought Obama was a smart guy when he ran for president. He was teaching constitutional law at a good law school, he was articulate, he talked a good game. But he has become a real disgrace, a wuss, and a complete disappointment.

when are you guys going to finally comprehend that there is no difference between republicans and democrats.

any republican would've signed this bill. it had to pass a republican congress for obama to sign it. quit playing games and face facts that both sides got you in a vice grip.

if he vetoed it then the right wing would be going crazy calling him a socialist for not funding defense.

if he signs it, the partisans on the right say why arnt the dems calling him out for betraying the base, even though its something they personally agree with.

sanrene, one of the most admitted diehard republicans on this forum, is doing what i just described throughout this thread, even though this bill is something she personally likes since it was pushed by republicans.

Agreed. I'm sure that McCain would have been thrilled to sign the thing (I think he even wrote it), but it doesn't change the fact that Obama had a chance to veto it and he didn't. That makes him a spineless loser in my book. In September of next year I think I might just make some creative anti-obama groups, I don't care who he is running against.

Reportedly.....the worst part of that bill has been deleted. That's the part saying that legal citizens of our nation, if simply suspected of being a terrorist could be indefinitely detained by our military without any rights to representation, etc.

Hope like heck that this claim is fact.
