Tacky, she's the President's wife. You protect her, not date her. She hated America before Obama ran for president, maybe some Marine will step on her toe.
I'm shocked that a marine would ask a married woman, who is not his wife, to a military ball. It is entirely inappropriate. Should Barack request his wife to attend with him, since he is CoC I suspect he can attend any military balls he pleases, it would not be inappropriate to request a dance.
IMO this is bad form. YMMV
Obama could make abortion illegal across the country, eliminate taxes and require prayer in schools and you would still say it was wrong.
A date is anywhere you make it. ie.. a dinner date, a coffee date, a bowling date, sports date and of course a dance. Generally anywhere where you get to spend quality time together. But dude is young....
I know a young man from here who took his mom to the marine ball--PROUDLY. As far as marines being "uppity" by asking celebrities, etc.--the marines deal with the worst of the worst situations in war. Why don't you head for Afghanistan as a sharp shooter for a year, and then we'll talk about whether they're uppity or not. It is an HONOR to be asked to be escorted to the Marine ball, whether you're a movie star or the first lady.
I can sort of see both sides. While the gesture may have been innocent enough, you also have to realize that this is the wife of the CINC of all armed forces. It would be almost unheard of that an enlisted Marine would ask the wife of the General of the Marine Corps or one of the Joint Chiefs of Staff out to the ball, much less the First Lady of the United States. In a sense, though, that he would even be compelled to ask her probably speaks more to Mrs. Obama's down-to-earth and approachable nature than anything else.
It is very sad. They are seriously unable to contain their hatred.
I do not recall such vitriol aimed at Laura Bush not matter how one felt about George W's ability as a leader. And these same people have the audacity to claim themselves to be patriotic Americans. Absolutely nothing very "Christian" or God-like about their behavior and comments.
Has Laura Bush ever hated on America the way MO has?
Did Laura Bush attend a racist church with a racist pastor for twenty years?
Did Laura Bush send her kids to a private academy while "W" shut down the DC voucher program thereby forcing some of the most underprivileged minority kids in the country back into some of the worst public schools?
If you want to compare first ladies, there is no comparison.
Laura Bush was an excellent example of a first lady and MO is an obnoxious elitist living like royalty on the tax payer's dime. The sooner the country is rid of her and the idiot will be the better.

Well, if you hate her for that, then so be it, but making fun of her weight and blindly attacking her for basically being alive is irrelevant to the reasons for your hatred. And it's immature.
I'm so glad I don't know some of you people in person.
