I'd like to remind everyone that marriage was around well before Christianity as well.
And it was always between a man and a woman then too. Marriage being defined as a union between men and women is not a new concept. Marriage between members of the same gender, on the other hand, is a new concept.

One must understand and know the difference between the Old Testament Law of God...and the Current New Testament Commandments of God. God's Grace came in with the New Testament dispensation.
Translation: "I want to think that there are some civil unions that come close, but I won't provide explanation or examples because I have none. I won't even respond to the fact that there are same-sex marriages that still aren't equal in the eyes of the law to heterosexual marriages. Only that I have this deranged attachment to the 'marriage' word and refuse to share my toys".
It translates to exactly what I wrote and this can be determined through the power of literacy.
