This is kind of cool in a way ...... City-Data rates an actual NKorean propagandist! They must be going all out on the world internet forums to spin the mass starvations so that they don't seem as bad. Yeah, they needed to starve millions of citizens so that China wouldn't invade them, when China is their only friend in the world, and could have crushed them easily all along.
Haven't you heard of the first and second Manchu invasions of 1627 and 1636? Are kids like you learning anything in high school at all?
Where is your knowledge of history and geography? Can't you contribute anything to the discussion aside from a bunch of hee-haw comments?
I always keep tabs with what is going on in Korea, I was stationed there, right on the DMZ in the 70s, 1/31st Infantry Reg. ( I have even crossed the line in the center of the DMZ and entered North Korea, shhhhh, it is a secret, most of us did it to say we could). I have been back several times during vacations, love the country and the people. That is my background, what's yours.
Get the hell out if you think this country is heading down the path of North Korea. You appear to know absolutely nothing about the politics and communism that exists in North Korea.
Seriously, your statement comes off as being extremely ignorant of America's democracy and freedom that many folks like you take for granted.
I don't take freedom and liberty for granted which is exactly why I see us headed dwon the road of tyranny. I also know about the Communism of N. Korea as told to me by a friend who experienced it, as did his parents, first hand.

You're background is irrelevant because it's obvious that you don't know much. Just think of me as someone who reads a lot of history. Do you even know about Korea's history before the 20th century?

And my parents immigrated from South Korea and we still have relatives living in Seoul and Taegu. I've also visited South Korea so I'm very aware of the polar opposites and the animosity between the two Koreas. I also have military friends who are based in Seoul and were put on alert during the tense standoff between the two Koreas earlier this year. We all have experienced it, instead of being "told" by friends what it's like over there.
If you feel we're heading down the path of "tyranny" then just leave this country. You at least have that freedom of the choice to leave the country where North Korea wouldn't even allow their own citizens to escape the country without paying the consequences.
When you start making this issue a partisan one by making ignorant comments, you are really trivializing the histories of both the United States and the two Koreas and showing the entire forum that you really don't have a clue what you're talking about.

First hand experience is Irrelevant, why because YOU say so, I got bad news for ya................
Clue to the Clueless: History was my minor, and I have read thousands of History books and still own hundreds of my own and still continue to do so today at about a book or sometimes two a week. Yes, I do know about Koreas long and turblent history, as I said, I love the Nation and have learned all I could, you must have missed that.

Haven't hear anything about the Manchu invasions and I'm a Senior.
We talked about the North Koreans attacking South Korea, Americans getting sent to provide help but being pushed down to the coast in a tiny area of land, amphibious landing at Inchon, given permission to pursue by Truman, and then the Chinese send 900,000 soldiers across the border and the Americans being chased back roughly to the 38th parallel before securing a defensive line-- when there was a stalemate and then the firing of MacArthur
but...
The education system isn't exactly in perfect condition....as you may know
