I love these threads where an OP that has obviously hated Obama prior to his elections just proclaims him to be a "miserable failure". The desperation is so palpable.
Wow. Just wow. This is actually the worst thing I've ever seen on the Internet. I don't totally agree with how Obama is running things right now, but this is wrong. I don't care if your black, white, liberal, conservative, Muslim, Jewish or whatever. You do NOT say that kind of thing about ANY president. All I've seen on this part of CD is pure hate so far, from both sides. This forum might have equal representation of both parties, but it is far from bi-partisan. I am ashamed to be an American right now. Just ashamed.

And to answer the OP, I guess the same could be said for EVERY POTUS in America's history. Even the most dismal of failures (ymmv) retain supporters, so this isn't exactly a new or Obama-specific phenomenon. Why did people support Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, etc, through their many mistakes? Dunno, but it's probably the same reason people still love Kim Kardashian. As for myself, I voted for Obama but generally don't care about who's in charge - since it's all the same BS regardless. I just think he's hot!
A lot of far-left libs and younger libs have soured on Obama. He attacked Libya, stayed in Afghanistan, pressed the war on drugs (didn't even try to legalize mj) and is raising $1 billion from corps for his campaign.
In Nov 2008 they flocked to the ballot box to support him. In 2012, they'll stay home and smoke a bowl. It's going to be tough enough to win with the economy still in a shambles, and without those young far-left libs, it's going to be impossible.

And to answer the OP, I guess the same could be said for EVERY POTUS in America's history. Obama had no credentials to become president and had no leadership skills at all. Our nation has truely suffered due to his incompetence.
Perhaps if liberals actually had compassion for their fellow man, they would want a competent president who may restore some form of economic prosperity for the nation that benefits all. A president who has no rational economic plan who has been unable to restore economic prosperity should be ejected from the White House, regardless of party.
Let's come to our senses and not reward incompetence. Throw Obama out.

No matter how bad Bush was in his administration, the left cannot accept that O is far far worse.
I am continually puzzled as to why anyone would continue to praise and support a president who has proven to be an abject failure in all facets of his presidency, to the detriment of the American public. If one was actually concerned with the well being of fellow Americans, one would choose to have a competent president, regardless of party, in the White House. Instead the left chooses to support a petty, divisive, childish partisan, simply because he is a democrat.
One would offer that perhaps a change would be in order, when one has failed so miserably. Imagine had Lincoln stuck with all his failed generals, before arriving upon Grant, who won the war. Perhaps a prudent, logical voter would not accept failure and would seek a successful president. That person is certainly not Obama- he has proven to be terrible.
Why do conservatives whine about Obama even when he does something right, such as OBL? Many Liberals and Moderates end up defending the President because the conservatives have been attacking him since before he was even sworn in or elected. If the attacks had been only policy driven it would have been less polarizing, but the shear number of personal attacks on him and his family and whining about childish subjects such as putting his feet up on his desk are beyond belief. Just maybe, had the right not gone down that path more Libs and Mods would be open to discssion, but as we know, that is simply not part of the skill set for some righties.

I didn't vote for Obama. However, we are talking about his RECORD. If Obama had achieved low unemployment, increase wages, domestic energy exploration, and righted trade imbalances, there would be nothing to criticize. He would win re-election in a landslide.
However, given Obama's dismal performance, liberals cannot defend his tenure and divert the conversation into presuming that opposition to Obama is "personal" or due to "racism".
So- tell me how unemployment, the debt, deficits, energy, income, and trade policies have IMPROVED with Obama. I will wait patiently. Any objective, rational individual, even liberals, know that Obama is a miserable failure. However, it is their blind partisanship that puts them in the uncomfortable and ridiculous position of praising a dismal, ruinous performance.
