This is not possible.
In 1787 there existed only a single definition of "natural born citizen" in the entire English language, and it was that of British common law. There was no other definition that could have been adopted.
So the Framers had two choices... natural born citizen as understood by British common law, or no definition at all.
For those of you paying attention, the second Birther state ballot challenge was heard this morning in Alabama. It was dismissed in 15 minutes.
