Yes there are crazies in Christian fundamentalists circles but they don't issue death threats to unbelievers or to those blasphemy against their religion unlike Islamic extremists.

Oh they understand it all right. When will it get through to everyone that the right wingers don't give a rat's azz about anything at all other than their own narrow, narrow interests. They just truely don't want the working man to have a larger slice of the economic pie AT ALL. Every single dollar that goes to a worker is a dollar they want for themselves. It's so crystal clear I can't understand why more people can't see it for the fact it is. The right has been opposed to every single social reform that has ever been introduced in the country and they are still opposed to any future reforms along with the reforms of the past. If it were left up to the right, the USA would still be living in the Guilded age. As they have been in power often since that time we are creeping back to a time where the "Economic royalists" control more and more of the nations wealth. Just think of the things they have opposed from the beginning and still oppose. Social security, Workers rights and mandatory workmans compensation, health and safety regulations in the workplace, Equality of pay for women, fair taxation, ANTI EDUCATION in just so many ways and I think that factor will sink the country. They are against protecting the environment, they are against protecting the American people from predatory financial institutions. I could just go on and on in this same vein. The right wing, for all of their blustering blunder is actually anti American. They hate the country and if you doubt it just listen to any of their surrogates.

They call themselves "Conservatives" and they are nothing of the sort. Conservatives don't give big corporations billions of taxpayers money. Conservatives don't build a huge monolithic government the way the GOP has. Conservatives don't bail out banks with almost no strings attached. This GOP party is just the biggest collection of political whores that I have ever seen. They are owned lock stock and barrel by their masters and do nothing at all that is the interests of the people. If their master's interests and the people's interests line up at times it may look like they are doing something. If their master's interests and the public interests are not in line they screw the people EVERY TIME.

It is primarily based on small firms specializing in precision technologies.

So, you'll have to excuse our reluctance to throw out an industrial model which has kept us the most prosperous nation the world has known for more than 130 years for what is essentially a blip.
The American industry is a former shell of what once it was. Some blame unions, but the fact that tons of factories have been outsourced to third world countries makes you think what kind of conditions those CEO's wanted for their American workers...

German cars and drugs are still massively produced in Germany.

Well, maybe they haven't issue direct fatwas against their enemies, but I bet that some inflammatory rethorcis have had something to do with the American far-right terrorism (Oklahoma, bombing of abortion clinics, etc)

Those crazies that you are talking about may not issue fatwas against those they don't like but they would use the mighty power of the military of the USA to blow those who are a "Threat" to kingdom come. Not just a few individuals either, you understand but whole countries. Just ask the Iraquis or the people of Vietman.

The United States Of Amerit**d, truly a corrupt country run by insane people. Best to prepare for Mad Max Amerit**d.

The truth is, most countries are just as bad, if not worse....not all, but most. European has a lot of countries that are in pretty sad shape.
