By that logic....Why is pregnancy or STD prevention any different smoker cession supplied by some insurance? Smoking is not recreational? Really? Sex is not only for enjoyment. Why should safe sex measures be any different?

No, you be surprise because the bill you'll get for a gynecological checkup and a month's worth of birth control pills, without insurance, will run much higher than that.
Ummm.... I can get an IUD for $145, including the doctor visit. And at planned parenthood its $845. LOL. I pay cash only for my medical needs. The pill is much much less than that.

Are you one of these people who asks for a cash discount b/c you don't have insurance? Our office won't do those any more. Our boss thinks that since people w/o insurance (for the most part, in our practice) have chosen not to have ins., they can pay full fee. We do give discounts to people who are actually needy.

Or bleed for 270+ days out of a year so heavy you get sick and start vomiting all the time, can't eat, can't sleep, sure the hell can't f**k, etc.....
