The US wants peace?

How much do you know about the USA and it's State dept.

Peace is not what the US/GB system wants.

If so, they are failing miserably and letting their higher educations take a back seat.

War has changed for the US . We only fight rogue dictators and rebels, not really standing armys of any consideration. As soon as we shut off the lights the bugs will come right out and it may be worse.

So, basically the world is not at peace.
The world is a lot more peaceful than it was in the past. We have seven billion people now, and the proportion of people who end up dying in battle is far lower than it ever has been. In a traditional hunter-gatherer forest tribe, about 1/3rd of the males end up killed by warfare, sometimes more.

The number of ongoing, active "shooting wars" around the world is quite a ways down from what it used to be as well.

Sure, it could be temporary. But for now, it exists.

Maybe the numbers of deaths haven't been tallied.

It's been quite obvious for a few years that Obama's Afghanistan war will never be won. Unfortunately for our soldiers, Obama is too stupid to realize that. He just keeps sending soldiers to their deaths with no hope of ever realizing victory.

Honestly I got no problem with War if its done correctly. What I do have a problem with is this stupid little idiot called Obama that blew smoke up everyone's ass promising change and how bad everything George Bush and the Republicans had screwed everything up.

Guess what? this mother****er we call a POS President does the exact same things. At least George Bush didn't blow smoke. You knew what you were getting not like this duplicitous POS we have in the White House now.

And the idiots libs can stuff it. George ****ing Bush hasn't been the president for THREE ****ING years

They are tallied as well as they ever have been. A lot of the "conflicts" on lists like that are either inactive, low-level, or very limited in scope and size.

For instance, Nigeria has the Boko Haram issue ongoing, and some piracy in the delta region, but compare that to something like the Biafra civil war, or even the ethno-religious riots that were rippling through that country in the late 70's and early 80's. Things are quite a lot calmer these days. Not completely placid, but much less roiled.

Two different sites are stating they are currently active wars.

I can't say unless i traveled to all of them, and saw for myself. But apparently these two opinions speak as if they are ongoing.

The Biafran conflict has been settled for a long time. I think the point is that even as Nigeria's population has increased a lot since the 60's and 70's, the raw number of people dying there from war or civil conflict has fallen, and hence, the proportion of people dying there from war has fallen even more steeply.

It has been a year since the requests were made so I doubt they will be taking the thing back before he is out of office.
