Republicans, take his advice. Do everything you can to appeal to the OP. (If you do that, you won't even be able to win elected office as country dog catcher.)

The social issues trump everything. When the Nazis are loading the Jews onto trains headed for concentration camps, it is no time to campaign on a platform of making the trains run on time. We abort 1.2 million babies every year in this country. And you want to quibble over tax cuts?

The radical Left is pushing these issues hard. They started it decades ago and are finally hitting their stride. Don't let them get away with painting YOU as being obsessed with them. They'll say anything to get you to shut up and roll over.

If the Left wins on these issues, we won't have a country worthy of prosperity or national security. First things first.

Peace, out.
The love for "social issues" made Nazis quite popular, didn't it?

How very Christian of you to think aborted fetuses are on the same level as Jews being gassed at concentration camps. Do you seriously believe the abortion of a young fetus without developed nerve endings is equivalent to the murder of a human being who can feel pain? Get your priorities straight.

I agree, I want the Repubs to continue their rants, the more you talk the easier it will be for President Obama to be re-elected and the easier for Dems to take back seats in the House. Yes, by all means, please keep talking, Americans want to see your True colors.

Too late. I've already resorted to my La-Z-Boy and have decided to sit back and watch America implode at the behest of Liberalism. I may be dead and gone when it occurs, but there will be a collective "I Told You So" moment from those conservatives that spend most of their lives railing against what the left calls "progress."

I'll continue to fight certain for certain principles, but the Entitlement Locomotive is too far down the tracks and it won't be stopped until we're broke, destitute, and desperate as a nation. Which will happen. The trajectory of America is all to clear to those of us who care for the United States. Individualism and entitlement will be the death of us.

It was a fun ride while it lasted though!

These so-called "social issues" are simply a distraction from the REAL issues threatening our nation: bankruptcy after insane over-spending and over-borrowing, an addiction to making wars, currency devaluation, and loss of citizen freedom to a power-mad government.

And I wish all those who are obsessed with 2-celled zygotes being not brought all the way to fruition, would notice that fully grown men and women are being murdered daily by a war-crazy government that won't defend our own borders, and thinks "safety" is gained by poking at hornets' nests of radicals and terrorists across the world.

Hey I'm on that same train.

If further dependency on government to fix all of America's problems is "progressive" then count me out. The Fed Gov just can't afford to keep all of American living well, send billions to other countries so their leaders can live well and have state of the art military and invade countries when the petrodollar is threatened.

Just watching and wait for the other shoe to drop.

Sex and religion keep people from thinking about the real problems we have in America. Run emotions high and throw logic out the window.
Works every time.

Americans aren't buying the social issue distraction rhetoric from the GOP anymore. It's been nearly 40 years since Roe vs Wade. How many Republican presidents and congresses have we had since then? If they haven't overturned it already, they never will.

Trust me. Social issues are lifeline for certain kind of politics. As long as there is a substantial part of populace stupid enough to get emotionally worked up on social/religious issues, politicians will gladly sell it to them.
