You may not be Catholic but when one segment of society is ignored then it is really easy to ignore another one.

By the way Obama's spiritual adviser teaches salvation history. Look it up---only way you can be saved is if you save me. That is being done now by making people give money, etc to the lesser in society. Obama really thinks he can save you if you give what you earn to others. If you don't he will force you to do it.

This is not the idea of the Catholic church on salvation. One gains their salvation on their own merits by giving freely---not by being coursed. Talk about liberties being stripped from us.

I don't belong to Obama's church and he can't make me join. I don't like that idea about salvation since it isn't true.

You never heard of the bible???

God is right here with us. We are the ones who are ignoring Him.

When I read the Bible, all I see are the words of men who lived in a rather barbaric time period who believed in a ruthless God.

What is your point? Nobody, not even devout Christians claim that god physically wrote the bible. It is a book written by men, it is only a sign of the divine if you believe the fairy tales contained within.

I don't know of any Christian denomination right off hand which teaches you can buy your salvation, not even Catholicism.

Guess you never heard of Jesus. Maybe read the New Testament for a change.

I thought that is what I said. We can't buy it so why does Obama think we can?

Written by man INSPIRED by God. God is the real author. You don't have to believe it but don't stomp on people who do.

I hate to bust your bubble, but Roe v. Wade is not going to be overturned no matter who is president. It's been 39 years, perhaps you ought to get used to it, and consider other pro-life alternatives like promoting adoption?

Stillkit means to say that "giving freely" in exchange for salvation is akin to buying salvation. And he's right, the Catholic Church does not teach that we can be saved by our own merits. The Church condemned this idea at the Council of Orange - the heresies of Pelagianism and Semi-Pelagianism.
