It is obvious that there are two totally opposing ideologies. There will be a constant battle between the two.
No what we got are two groups of idiots the two being progressives and evangelicals that are very small groups of Americans that happen to be loud and get way to much attention.

Why should we stay together as a nation. I'm just asking....
Most of the country is not extremist hardliners so breaking up doesn't make a lot of sense. Even if we broke up as a nation it would end up being several nations not two. If such an event happened a lot of pointless large scale warfare, suffering, and death would occur which I think those of us that are sane would want to avoid.
UNITED States. Meaning, there can still be differences, but we are still one country.
Just have to learn to get along.
As long as the media is in charge of brainwashing for the puppet masters..... it isn't going to happen
A uneducated and divided people (as evidenced by this site and other blogs, selective outrages based on what the media wants you to be outraged over, what is most watched on tv and most popular music) are easy to control and pull the wool over the eyes of
Keep watching reality tv and hope that the country will get better because the "news" tells you so

Neither do I... if only about 75 million Americans would do the same as us, we would definitely be able to right the ship currently on the rocks caused by a storm of ignorance
That's funny the War Loving (debt making) right would say that.
It's amazing isn't it? The country ran a budget surplus and paid down the debt 6 out of Clinton's 8 years. Then Bush is elected and the national debt triples under his "conservative" leadership.
Yep, those darn liberals
I don't think state lines are drawn around perfectly aligned ideals. Sometimes, some of them, but not all. Then THOSE groups would fight and split, then THOSE...etc.
I agree. It would be chaos. Anarchy.

So you think one side should compromise?
Can the socialists leave the rest of us alone to live as we desire?

I do not want to live with the political left. I want to live apart from them. Their ways are not mine.
It's not like we disagree on how to get to the same goal. We disagree on what we want this nation to be.

I understand your point as i feel the same about wanting to live in a place with no Far Right Republicans.
Wouldnt it be a lot easier to just move to a country that is more inline with your ideologies as America is going to be home to the political left for a long time.
On a personal note rather than call for the destruction of the country because i dont like one aspect of its polititics i moved to Canada, problem solved..
