The corrupt federal government is destroying this nation. We are allowing it. The media is a propaganda tool for the left.

Much of the perceived divide is because of both political parties being run by their extremist loons. Same with these boards. Many here (especially the loudest) are exremist. Far far more than the population at large.

Best possible thing would be instead of a break up: The extreme leftists all go to Cuba for their socialist paradise. The righties can all head for Somalia where there is no pesky government to bother them. The sane people can stay behind and work out our now even smaller differences without the crazies on both sides insisting on some right or left wing nirvana.

Some government is fine, and necessary. The trouble is governments have a tendency to want more power and control.

If you notice, most of my complaints regarding government are directed at the federal government.

I don't see your point with saying that they are directed solely at the federal government since plenty of nut jobs are their.

Just to be clear, I do not want these united states to cease being a nation. I want us all to make this a prosperous nation with individual freedom and liberty for all.

I'm getting the impression that you think that can only happen if those dastardly lefties were taken out of the equation along with all the media they seem to be in control of.
If you are waiting for that to happen you got a problem..

I do not want to live with the political left. I want to live apart from them. Their ways are not mine.

It's not like we disagree on how to get to the same goal. We disagree on what we want this nation to be.

Why should we stay together as a nation. I'm just asking....
Those of your mindset have always been uncomfortable in our democratic Republic with longstanding liberal traditions. Oh well. You're free to leave, but you're not free to break up the union.

There are liberal and conservative people everywhere, in every state and every town/city and even within families. So how would you divide society into both political worlds?!
Plus, with all the problems a union might cause, the advantages would also be gone.

I agree. I will admit that the idea of dissolution is attractive to me sometimes. (I mainly just want to kick Texas out of the union.) The problem with that is that once you start, you don't stop. Let's say you are granted that perfect little piece of land where everyone thinks like you. Well, in short order, those people are going to divide into factions .. before you know it, you will a left, a right and more divisions. See the history of Protestantism for a good example of this principle applied.
