Not true. The lowliest enlisted man is obliged to refuse an order to shoot a prisoner, for instance - even if it's a 4-star general giving it. "Befehl ist Befehl" is not an excuse.
This is of course different from the entire "I refuse to carry out orders until the President shows his paperwork" BS - because not even an officer can make that claim. Would be a right to-do if that were the case.
I stand corrected.
I did not mean to infer that if you were given an order to commit an act of murder, that you had to follow it. I was also trying to differentiate between officers, ie... NCOs and commissioned officers, and non-rates, the former not able to give lawful orders.
Ask former Army Lieutenant Colonel and now ex-con Terrence Lakin how well that worked out for him.
i'm actually curious what is going on with lakin. i know he just got denied a license to practice medicine in the state that he's living because of his conviction but at the time of his incarceration there was a lot of talk of him doing a radio show or running for office yet we've herd almost nothing from him.
So, what do they plan to do next? Mount a military coup to overthrow the duly and Constitutionally elected government of the United States in order to "save" the country?
All this hateful, intolerant, bigoted, prejudicial rhetoric directed at the President will soon reap a of harvest of horror for this country if people don't start learning the truth instead of reacting to lies.
