Or perhaps people could grow a pair instead of being afraid of a garment. Just a thought.

He is responsible for his actions.

I wear a hoodie every day and have never been suspected of being a thug, not even when I was living in a poor predominantly Black and Latino neighborhood. Once a cop mistook my blind cane for a gun and almost shot at me till my friend showed him it's a cane. Should blind people stop using canes to get around?

If a white boy with skittles and an iced tea was killed by a "vigilante", would anyone be talking about the hoodie he was wearing, and how white teens shouldn't wear hoodies? And how the hoodie was at least half the reason? I don't think so.

This is absurd, people. There is no justification for Zimmerman's actions. People need to stop trying to defend the perpetrator!
People in this thread act like a hoodie is some kind of black gangbanger thing. Like I said...biker types and hot rodders have worn them for years. It's no big deal and no one thinks anything about it. You put some bright colored "team" hat on...fold the bill straight and not a "C" like a normal hat wearer...c*ck it left or right...wear some saggy draws and there ya go. You aren't the mechanic type guy. Your in a gang and gangbanging is your way of life. I have to help along with you to spell it out for people. It depends on who's wearing one, and how they wear it. Likewise, what's on it. A bigass HD emblem or the likes is DIFFERENT!!

Hoodies are great for concealing even the largest of large handguns as well. I use one for that A LOT!! A 5" Govenment 1911, Sig Sauer P-226 or P-220, Beretta 92FS/M9 isn't a problem at all with one. LOVE THEM!!!

I have friends who have nicknamed me "Unabomber" because I wear a hoodie - this has become my standard Halloween costume - complete with sunglasses.

Bank robbery suspects often look like me.

I will walk into a bar wearing my hoodie and when the phone rings say "If that is my probation officer - tell him I am not here" - and people find it humorous.

Does the hoodie have a negative connotation? Yes. Should it be banned? NO.

Silly obsession with clothing. Disengenuous. Stop the racism. And leave the clothes people wear alone. Get real.

Yeah.... because they wear 3 piece suits up North when they shop at Walmart...

Oh wait.... they don't have Walmart up North, they only have highend boutiques

Geez

And by the way, regarding hoodies or any other fashion like baggy pants

Don't ban them.... mock them

Nope.

That would make you a Unibomber lookalike!
