There will always be thieves, frauds and charlatans who will abuse the systems of government, we cannot condemn the entire institution of marriage, or burden the rest of married couples because of those few.
It's my opinion that you are consciously engaging in a fraud, if you are going to take advantage of the charity of others, on a pretense. I don't need your permission to see you as leaching off the rest of us. But even so, you may end up having a child anyway.
The Supreme Court doesn't consider it fraud, and their opinion is all that matters. Your ridiculous argument that non-child bearing couples are committing marriage fraud is so ridiculously stupid, it's hard to believe humans like you actually exist.
Yes this does happen. It's against the law (well in the military anyway) to have a fraudulent marriage just to take advantage of the benefits.
That being said, how does that translate into straight couples who marry with the intention of not having children?
It's not technically a fraud, it's just my personal view of it. The only reason we allow our government to tax us, and give benefits and such to married couples, is because of the potential children they create. I sure as hell would not approve of my hard earned money going to someone just so they can have sex together. So if people are intentionally getting married a plan to not have kids, they are gaming the system. It would be like a person accepting a government subsidy to manufacture a product, and they just keep the money and go thru the motions of a manufacturing business.
However, as I said before, they may have children anyway. Either nature found a way to thwart their contraception techniques, or their opinion on children evolved and they now want kids.
look at the population demographics amongst those ages and it impossible for it not to be true.
