A woman should change out of her uniform before feeding her child? What is wrong with some people in this country? There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding, in public or private. Breasts are for feeding children. Everything else associated with them is secondary.
"People are comparing breastfeeding in uniform to urinating and defecating in uniform. They're comparing it to the woman who posed in "Playboy" in uniform [in 2007]" Scott told Yahoo! Shine in an interview. "We never expected it to be like this." "I'm an X-ray tech and I breastfeed in my uniform all the time," Scott says. "Granted they're scrubs. But people do it all the time in their uniforms. If you have a hungry baby, why would you take the time to change completely?"
i agree that there is too much negative attention being paid to breast feeding, it is the most natural thing in the world. in my opinion people need to leave women alone about breast feeding, be it in pubic or private.
From the beginning of time, troops have been performing ALL bodily functions while in uniform.
I can't think of anything better than to have a female Soldier/Sailor/Pilot/Marine in full dress attending a state function or even a White House medal presentation have to take a quiet moment off in a corner to feed her child. What better way could there possibly be to confront and awaken full-blown reality to all and sundry.
And comparing it to urinating/defecating while in uniform? Bit of a stretch there!
Some people have too much free time and not enough brains to figure out how to use it productively.
