Seems simple enough.

SHE alone created the story and the controversy. She's testing the water for a lawsuit. One can smell her type a mile away.
So, you've studied enough mastectomy patients medical files to make this "expert" pronouncement?
Right.
Your complete and utter lack of compassion and empathy for other human beings is rather telling.

Do you think that she would be wearing something with straps underneath her light t-shirt at the Walmart? Probably not. Consequently, she is not going to be experiencing the degree of pain or any pain that straps or a wet t-shirt would cause her, now would she.

"Going topless" implies a woman is showing her breasts. This woman has no breasts!!!

No. Going topless doesn't imply anything. I actually means, in concrete terms not subject to your interpretation, "going without a top".

Oh come on here. If the woman "just wanted to swim" she woulda but on her bikini top and jumped in or wore a one piece. This entire argument is ridiculous. Like the previous poster said get your own swimming pool or join a private club who will allow you to run around naked if you so choose. It's a public pool you follow the rules. First guy who pops a sticker with all the woman running around topless will get arrested and put on the abuse registry to boot.

If you are talking about the denotative meaning of "going topless" yes, it literally means going without a top. However, the connotative meaning of "going topless" almost singularly refers to woman going with a top and therefore showing her breasts. Or are you suggesting that you and other men use the term "going topless" as in "going without a top." I don't know what kind of man you and your friends are but I've only ever heard men talking about "not wearing a shirt."

Seriously?! Mastectomy scars where this woman's breasts use to be are going to cause you to become aroused in public?

And haven't you heard, according to eric, men "run around topless" too.
