how come the anti choicers have not answered the questions posed to them. even the simple ones are avoided like why is it your business what I do with my vagina?
if abortion was outlawed are you comfortable with the women that will die from back alley and coat hanger abortions ok with you? are their deaths ok because the world has saved the babies? dead women are ok because now we have a few more babies on the planet?
just how do you plan on making sure women stay pregnant when they don't wanna be?
should we have breeding camps to send them to?
Correct. Banning murder does not stop murder, but having laws against it greatly reduces the number of murders committed. Roe vs Wade will be repealed in time. The murders have to be stopped.
This is my post some few pages back where I stated that
Quote:
"Chile where abortion is a felony with up to 10 years in prison. Putting Women in prison hasn't reduced the abortion rate in that country."
IT HAS NOT REDUCED THE ABORTION RATE. Chile has put up to 200 women in prison a year and that has not stop women from getting an abortion. They rather go to prison then to have an unwanted pregnancy.
What makes you think that if Mississippi becomes "abortion free" or if Roe vs Wade is repealed, Women will not get abortions? They will. They will be more creative and desperate. If they can't, they will probably throw a full newborn in the trash like some of the teens that are in the news.
What counts is that the Supreme Court, which was put in place to make these rulings.....made a decision.....a decision that should be honored.
And your opinion does count?
In 1896 SCOTUS made a decision that separate but equal public accomodations for black Americans were legitimate. Should that decision be honored?
In 1954 SCOTUS reversed itself and stated that separate but unequal is inherently unequal - but according to your logic - Brown v Board... should never have been used to overturn Plessy v Ferguson because just the challenge to Plessy v Ferguson was "dishonoring" SCOTUS's decsion.
Now if you disagree with this assessment - and support the 1954 decsion(which I hope you do) then you should have no problem with a challenge being made to Roe v Wade. It was a bad decision - and needs to be revisited.
Can you show me an example of someone being charged and convicted of murder for having or performing an abortion in the post Roe era?
How come some states charge a killer of a pregnant woman with two murders?
After all - that other living thing inside her is just "a parasite" and a "clump of cells" - but murder is broadly defined as the malicious killing of a human being. There are varying levels of malice - but the term "human being" is always present in a definition of any type of murder.
But the pro-abortion people keep saying that a fetus is not a human being.
Well, is it or not?
