why do people continue to make the claim that marriage is a civil right when it is NOT one?
also marriage is regulated at the state level, and thus it is up to the states to decide if gay marriage should be legal or not. and to that end, the citizenry of the state can usually get enough signatures to put the issue on a public ballot and let the people decide if they want gay marriage or not.

What it seems like to me, what I am detecting, is a sense of envy/jealousy. It -- this situation -- appears devoid of character or substance; quite driveling to say the least. Just my two cents.

No, it wasn't a mental illness, it was labeled a mental disorder based on no evidence other than social stigma. It was only in the DSM from 1952 to 1973.

Incorrect again. The vast majority of men who sexually abuse boys are heterosexual in their adult preferences and are not true or fixated pedophiles, just opportunistic child molestors. A small minority have no adult sexual preferences at all, only for children- these are true or fixated pedophiles. This is based on over 60 years of research.
