Why do blacks continue to vote for Democrats?

I saw the Romney speech before the NAACP (Where was Obama?) and he did not say he was going to end all government programs. The poor need to vote for Democrats to survive? How has that worked out for them? We have higher poverty rates than ever before despite 50 years of Democratic promises to end poverty via the Great Society programs. Why keep voting for more failure?
