But a big part of that protest was the community saying there was no gang problem there.
The protest was about anger over the murder of two young men - the gang fear-mongering is just used so the city can justify their ham-handed tactics.
I can walk anywhere in the city of Anaheim without fear(except for the cops) - don't make characterizations about a city that you know only from news reports.

Well everyone is entitle to an opinion. So you say the city is safe..then again who are you ?
You might be a gang member yourself or Latino activist.
The police say they have registered 35 gangs in that city. That's a fair number.
I can already see you have a view that the cops are the bad guys here, not the gangs.
During all the turmoil one point was played down and rarely mentioned; the troubled areas are populated almost exclusively by illegal aliens and their offspring, the so called anchor babies.

There is a Middle East neighborhood roughly located along Brookhurst from around Ball north about to the freeway. Some Asian residents and old line Hispanics also in Anaheim Hills.

I'm curious as to how you know the immigrant status of all those people living in central and western Anaheim?
Its not like they walk around wearing a sign that says "illegal".
