Wrong.

I read the Gospel for myself. I sought out God. There was no need for indoctrination.

After reading the Gospel, there is no argument I can think of that would lead me to believe that secular society has done a better job at creating the world as we know it, than what is spoken by Christ.

Essentially, secular society is failing, but if everyone in the world were to adopt Christian principles, the world would move in a harmonious direction, and is the best possible way to ensure global prosperity through future generations.

If you can come up with another set of rules to live your life than what is spoken by Christ, please provide some insight.

You must realize though, that everything you have was built from the blood, sweat, murder, and tears, of the less fortunate.

There is no accountability with atheism.
That's garbage.

Atheists hold themselves just as accountable as anyone else. I can't speak for all atheists, because atheists are individuals who all have devised their own belief systems, they aren't uniform in their beliefs. They simply don't believe in any god. That's all. They aren't evil. They live alongside everyone else, and they live good lives. They marry and have children, and they teach their children not to steal, not to kill, not to harm others. Why? Because we are all human beings, and our morality doesn't come from religion. Our morality comes from within, and it is humanity that graces religion with morality. Not the other way around.

Most atheists have read the Bible, and have read numerous other religions' texts as well. They've noted the contradictions contained in the Bible. They've noted the origins of the Bible, and wonder about the scriptures that men chose not to include in the Bible. The Bible has been translated many times, and the odds are that it has been mis-translated many times as well.

Your religious beliefs are a blessing to you. Hopefully they will guide you through life where you can display compassion and tolerance for your fellow man.

YOU, on the other hand, have a DEMONSTRABLE misunderstanding of morality, its origins and how non-religious people view morality.

Modern, especially American, Christians don't live the way Jesus told them to live. Our society would more resemble that of Norway or Sweden if Christians spent as much time loving thy neighbor and being their brother's keepers as Jesus wanted them to.

In order to truly be Christian, you must abide by the words of Christ. If you familiarize yourself with the words of Christ, you will find it impossible to argue with me.

Please show us a period of time in which you believe things were "much better" than they are now.

Society is actually NOT falling apart, as much as conservatives would like to believe.

Because your understanding of the words of Christ is the only possible interpretation?

Why then do we have so many different Christian churches, and so many different Bibles, and so many different teachings of the words of Christ?

More good news from the survey.

Those that are religious dropped from 73% o 60%.

Those that say the have "no religion" (includes atheists) went from 5% to 13%

Poll shows atheism on the rise in the U.S. - The Washington Post

It's just another demographic change that's going to hurt the GOP which relies on dividing Americans using religious rhetoric.
