I was in an auto parts store today. I know who built it and what he used for funds. He had a body shop there but got an opportunity to buy the parts and did so with HIS OWN MONEY as a hedge against future problems. He got off on that You didn't build that and went wild. So many of the small businesses I know started out with their own money or a few thousand from a bank and when they want to expand went to the SBA for money for that. The SBA was created for that very purpose and very little money comes to it from the government any more.

I fear that once the foot is in the mouth it is hard to get back out and in this case I believe that the man managed to say what he thought not what was on his teleprompter.

I'm curious, though. The theme of the convention is "We Built It". I would think that a party that has been crowing about self-sufficiency would want to demonstrate that they were serious about smaller government by saying to the Feds, "No, thanks. We built it. We are rough, tough republicans, and we can handle our own security".

Hypocrisy strikes again. The only reason they want smaller government is the same reason that criminals want a smaller police force - so they can get away with murder. Elect Romney and prepare to be robbed blind if you are not in the One Per Cent.
Guess you never heard of paying taxes. The people in Tampa paid their fair share of taxes, they did build it.

I wonder how much the village idiot stuck the local governments on his re-election junkets? I believe a large university turned down his campaign because they would have had to cover all his expenses for security. Odd that he would try to secure a venue that would have to paid all the security expenses when he has no donor money isn't it?

Come back later when you have something more credible.

Oh wait, click this link for your saviors habits of sticking others with the bill...

The question is, why didn't they provide their own security if they are serious about cutting government spending and wanting smaller government?

OK, but the DNC has to do the same.

No different than anyone else, they were offered money and took it, wouldn't you. Both parties are the same and greed is running rampant.

You can label it a socialist program, but in reality, no one at the time it was built, had more resources to pull it off than the government. I don't know what exactly Obamas agenda for making this point, but it is nothing new and nothing we didn't already know. We all use it,so it made sense for everyone to throw money in the pot and let the Uncle properly distribute it to build the interstate system. By the way, what is your point of labeling it a socialist program?
