And that is why only 15% of the 4th graders can read.

These teachers want very large salaries and they don't want to be held accountable in any way.

"Nobody goes into teaching for the money"...but teachers don't seem to have a problem abandoning their classrooms when they decide their $74k salaries are insufficient. When will they be happy, when the average teacher is making six figures? They'll never be happy, because the Union's job is to convince them that they're constantly underpaid, constantly undervalued and constantly overworked, thus giving the Union a purpose to keep representing them.

It's the teachers that's wrong with America? Leftist teachers? Not corruption because of lax regulation in mining (the WORST spill in HUMAN history), not because of greedy tycoons that got bailouts (the second worst economic downturn in US history), not because of unjustified wars (cost the nation tons of money and 11 years on, nothing fully resolved), but simply because of teachers? Wow...

Stop pulling stats out of your butt. More than 15% of 4th graders can read.

The lack of capitalization and the fact you used the letter 'u' instead of 'o' to abbreviate government, might be justification enough.

Usually, I don't go for such cheap shots, but hey. It's kind of hilarious to see a post so adamant against public education, and be unable to punctuate correctly.
