Zimbo, I'll put my knowledge of Islam up against yours any day of the week. The distinction between Islam and Islamic extremists is irrelevant: wherever Islam is, there are violent extremist savages ready to blow up children, saw off the heads of infidels, or lash the bodies of women into bloody pulp for showing some ankle at the first opportunity. That's been true for 1000 years and nothing has changed.

When was the last time a Christian killed anyone? I don't hear of these so called radical Christian groups going around killing people.
Free speech comes with repercussion and responsibilities. If Terry Jones has a problem with that, then HE needs to rethink what he is doing. There is nothing wrong with the Joint Chief from trying to talk down a clear and present danger to all our citizens serving overseas. And obviously the State Department thinks he is.

I don't like religious wackos of any type, but you really can't compare wacko christians to wacko muslims. Extremist Christians rarely kill (although they do on occasion) nor are they a worldwide threat to blow things up and murder politicians. As a matter of fact, wacko Islamists do more than christian, buddhist, and hindu extremists combined. Christians may discriminate against women, but they don't kill them for going to school or force them to marry their rapists. To see them as no different is to not see at all.

Really? So why doesn't every American who lives near a mosque in fear for their lives? Lots and lots and lots of mosques in this country. Most of them in everyday neighborhoods. Going with your statement we should be seeing bodies in the streets when someone walks by a mosque on their way to Walmart.
