Where in the hell does anyone in government get to take that attitude with somebody who is trying to report on their actions?
They work for us! They are not royalty!
Answer the reporters questions to the best of your ability and in a truthful manner so that citizens can understand what is going on!
Your flippant attitude is exactly why this nation is going down the crapper.
People who have things to hide! They have been the darlings of the news for almost 5 yrs now and they don't like the changing tides.
They are screwing up to much thank god someone is finally noticing!
I think it is a little more serious when a Senior Advisor to the United States Secretary of State goes nuts than when a washed-up, two-bit, misogynist, comedian goes nuts.

It was a perfectly reasonable response given the email chain that led to it. It was the reporter who led with profanity and who abdicated any semblance of objectivity. I found the response refreshing and well deserved. I applaud it.

Yeah but it won't matter at the polls. They'll still vote for their messiah regardless if his feet are made of clay or not.
It's got nothing whatsoever to do with his quality of leadership but everything to do with what comes out of his mouth. He's a veritable televangelist to these folks. They'd still vote for him if he grew horns and developed cloven hooves, as long as he still preached "goodness and light shall follow ME wherever I choose to go".

Here is a thread on City Data talking about this same reporter who wrote the truth about General McCrystal. Published in Rolling Stone for which the General was fired.
Look out how all these right wingers who claim to be so supportive of good reporting are all sympathetic to the General and consider what Hastings did out of line.
