She's family. Love her but she can be so ignorant. She began dating her first "baby-daddy" even though she knew the loser had several babies he couldn't afford child support for. Baby born, baby-daddy gone. Her new baby-daddy is an illegal alien from south of the border. Yep, real smart move there. Good luck getting child support from him. She recently lost her job when the call center company she worked for closed their doors. She blames Romney for, in her words, "sending American jobs overseas". First off, she worked for a Canadian company that was bought by a Swedish company so in a sense she was an outsourced job, not the other way around. Secondly, Romney wasn't a part of Bain Capital during the time she got and lost her job. Thirdly, Bain Capital had nothing to do with this company. On a recent visit I asked how the job search was going and she said she wasn't looking for work until her unemployment runs out.
I wouldn't expect someone with this attitude to be bothered with voting..

Some people just plain can't be saved. You can hope she will grow up and come to her senses, but she has to do it on her time with her own personal life experiences.
Why bs? Because you don't believe there are any conservative slackards? I have two ex-brother-in-laws who are both able-bodied who have been collecting "disability" for years now. One hasn't held a job since he was 23 (he's in his mid-50s now). They are both dyed-in-the-wool Republicans.
I know it pains you to have to admit it, but there are people of all political stripes who game the system--even (gasp!) Republicans.

And I have conservative relatives doing far worse then what you are talking about your family member doing.
The thing is, regardless of political party, there are a lot of morons on both sides.

Now, since you already said it, I'll agree that there are just some people in the world who don't understand, nor do they want o understand, what personal responsibility, hard work, and good decisionmaking means. Hard to change that way of thinking.
I have a lazy, hick cousin. I love him, but he grates on my nerves. He is a fundamentalist Christinan. He was completely different when we were growing up. Now he spends all of his time going to Church and watching Fox news. He has not worked on a job for more than a year at a time. He blames Obama because he has no money, when the fact is that he is just too lazy to work.
