What, What? Your calling Reids statement childish. I just checked, where is your outrage on Mitchie's statement of their #1 priority.

"Mitt Romney's fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his severely conservative agenda is laughable," Mr. Reid said in a statement on Friday, trying to puncture Mr. Romney's closing election argument that he'll be able to deliver on the bipartisanship President Obama promised in 2008 but has struggled to live up to.

I support Obama but I absolutely HATE this attitude that is coming from Congress. Reid is wrong for doing this...and so is the Republican attitude for the last 2 years. I hope everyone in this forum who is attacking Reid right now will channel that rage against your own Republican representatives if Obama wins another term. We cannot continue to have a government that bickers like little children.

Did McConnell say he would not work with Obama? No he did not, you folks have a way of making up crap about Republicans.

Woodward Gets Scarborough to Apologize for Misreporting McConnell's 'Make Obama One-Term President' Remark | NewsBusters.org

NJ: What’s the job?

McConnell: The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.

NJ: Does that mean endless, or at least frequent, confrontation with the president?

McConnell: If President Obama does a Clintonian backflip, if he’s willing to meet us halfway on some of the biggest issues, it’s not inappropriate for us to do business with him.

NJ: What are the big issues?

McConnell: It is possible the president’s advisers will tell him he has to do something to get right with the public on his levels of spending and [on] lowering the national debt. If he were to heed that advice, he would, I image, [sic] find more support among our conference than he would among some in the Senate in his own party. I don’t want the president to fail; I want him to change. So, we’ll see. The next move is going to be up to him.

Now, compare that with Harry Reid:

"Mitt Romney's fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his 'severely conservative' agenda is laughable," Mr. Reid said in a statement on Friday,[LEFT]

What do you make of this? Does this sound like someone who is willing to work with Obama? Doesn't or didn't sound like it to me.

Isn't that always obvious? What Democratic leader wanted Bush to win a second term?

Maybe Harry and Mitch are the same person.

Except that Harry "cant" work with a money-grubbing neanderthal, and Mitch "won't" work with a good president.

Other than that, no difference whatever.

Harry Reid is a TOTAL waste and hasn't worked with any Republicans in years. This guy needs to retire and get some young blood in there. Making alot of money wasting taxpayers money, and we have nothing to show for it.

I would doubt it would be their top priority...though of course they would not mind. They would not feature it though.

Face it. The House Repubs have raised partisanship to a level not seen before in at least the last 50 years.

That is to bad and bodes badly for the country in the next administrative regardless of who is President.

I would think most constructive government is at a standstill until the house or senate changes in a major way. That will not occur in this election.
