So your proposal is what, exactly? He should sit by the phone in the White House for the next two months on the off chance that the Republicans decide to become reasonable all of a sudden?

Yep -- just another very expensive taxpayer provided vacation.

Productive? Maybe in finding more cheap third world nations for the corporations to send jobs. That's about all this could be about.

And where is the compromise? Didn't Obama say "compromise"? Or was that just another lie out of his mouth?

Face it -- Obama does not give a damn about the American people. He cares more about the cheap labor in SE Asia.

I'm not fond of facing your lies so unfortunately I can't agree. How many presidents do you suppose have boarded a plane and flown out to another country during their terms?

He needs to be looking at that $16 trillion debt and figuring out ways he's going to suggest to bring it down. He needs to come up with some suggestions and proposals on spending cuts. He needs to get off his high horse and acting like some dictator, he needs to be meeting with Congress NOW and listening and bringing his spending cuts up for discussion.

Or is he really not a leader at all.

Your fantastic selective reading abilities have allowed you to miss the part where the responsibility of crafting legislation does not fall on the executive branch. Let congress come up with some great ideas and then the President can weigh in if they'd like. The GOP needs to get off their high horse, acting like some dictators and meet with Dems and listen while bringing their spending cuts up for discussion.

Obama won, the losers need to bring the new ideas. You're clueless.

Congress takes off for Thanksgiving and Christmas don't they ?
So we really don't have 59 days.

I think they'll just play "kick the can" since they have it down pat.

It's hard to work with the other side when they don't want to work with you. Compromise has to come from both sides. Obama has been no liar about this. He has said all along that he wants to keep the tax cuts for the middle class and let it expire for that 1%. If there is no agreement and all our taxes go up who do you think most people will blame?

Those Obama cuts are only one small part of the fiscal cliff.

Let them expire for everyone. We have to fund Obamacare..remember ?
Everyone needs to pay their fair share of taxes. Get rid of all the cuts.

Insert thumbs up very sad icon here. ITA and it's sad.

It boggles my mind that ANYONE voted for him. Do they not have brains? Can they not see that what he is doing will not work?
