Personally I think he's been terrible:

1. Higher energy costs

2. Higher food costs

3. Terrible job market

4. Obama care will be seen how that turns out...though I think socialized medicine has never really worked
no matter what the left says

Since African Americans overwhelming voted for Obama...How has your life improved under Obama....
if not... did you just vote for him strictly based on color..

How has my life improved?

Who said it was bad before Barack Obama became president?

Who told you it has been bad since he became president?

Do you expect a few black people on CD to answer for all black people?

Who are you to question black people anyway?

Do you think black people have to answer to you?

Why are you so worried about who 12% or so of the population voted for?

You know that even if black people didn't overwhelmingly vote for Obama he still would have won right?

So why are you specifically questioning black people about their vote?

Why don't you pose the question to everyone who voted for Barack Obama regardless or race?

The entire point of this thread is to race bait...No?

About 88% of the people who voted for Mitt Romney were White non-Hispanic Americans. Did they vote for in large part because they hate the thought of non-White person being President of the United States?

Yes I only voted because he was black.
My poor little black mind isn't strong enough to understand things like policies and laws. This is the first time I ever voted because this was the first time there was a black guy. Before I never worried about politics because none of them were black.

But since he's been in office I lost a job, quit a job and found a better job. Have some stock and money in my 401K. Am about to graduate with my Masters, most of which was paid for by my better job, got a new car, cleaned up my credit and am in the process of closing on a duplex. I'll live in one side and rent the other.

Yes food is higher so I look for sales and use coupons
Yes gas is higher so I drive less and car pool when I can
I never really had job market issues, I'm a great networker and have been offered jobs even without looking for one...so yes my life has improved. But I don't really give Obama credit for my personal accomplishments

Obama won because he was the best candidate. Whites Asians Hispanic voted for his re election. This has been gone over many times on CD and the internet.

If Romney was the best candidate, he would have won.

This was the perfect response

Especially the bolded area.

I don't blame politicians for my personal achievements or failures. Obama is no different. But FWIW, I am doing much better in 2012 than I was in 2008. I make $25K more money than I used to make, I have a new car and I have more free time to spend with my family. Also as a result of the horrible real estate market in my area, my property taxes were lowered and I pay hundreds of dollars less per month for my house than I did in 2007.

Like the poster above, I use coupons (I am a Krazy Koupon Lady !!! I save at least 40% off of every grocery bill, I get excited about shopping). I live less than 2 miles from my job and only drive in a five mile radius so I use less gas than most people. Also, I know how to get discounts on gas being that I am a Krazy Koupon Lady.

I also am an excellent networker and have never had much trouble getting a job.

If thats true...Then why do we need Obama's socialism...

Did you ever think the reason you need to do that is...maybe its Obama's war against Oil, Gas, and Coal industries...Maybe if hadn't taken a strong stance against these industries...we might have lower energy costs...and help the overall economy by lessening the hardship on the middle class and poor...Instead it seems that Obama is just pandering to environmentalists fanatics...IMHO

Ah... so the crux of your beef is your addiction to cheap fossil based energy. Unsustainable industries. Your personal greed ethic blinds you to the destruction of the environment and the destruction of the planets future that the selfish consumption models of the present stand to cause.
Dude, I have no sympathy. Get a clue or go cry in a corner. Poling the dozen (tops) individuals self-identifying as African American on City Data (P&OC) is not going to enlighten you one bit.
