The world domination remnants and sympathies borne from the old European colonial empires are finally resigned to the fact that the sort of global sway they once dreamed of was never possible. So instead of attempting to conquer & subvert by physical occupation as in the past it is accomplished today with financial markets & UN meddling. A regional effort staffed by indigenous folk spearheaded by centralized banking and collaborative global socio-economic mandates makes commandeering easier and apparently less intrusive. WW II was quite a watershed for so many things run globally... hmm?

Whenever people in power suggest that a marriage of capitalism & socialism is the key to prosperous communities, this is what they are refering to. I call it corporate governmentalism. The financial elites decide according to their needs what they want done and where, then have local government authorities funded & overseen via the IMF or such, who implement their directives, which is given reign by people-loving benevolence sub-groups like the HRC. Linked organizations like the WHO (no, not the band) & the WTO also dictate & regulate what is decided ought to be goals to be realized, additionally. Major corporations create investment opportunities, too, and employ people, develop territories and harvest resources while manufacturing markets to accede their bottom line.

And who funds this octopus we coddle named the UN? Taxes thru member governments. But anyone who sees through the malarkey understands who runs this fronting octopus: those who buy the politicians of the member nations. Owners of multi-national conglomerates always know a good shadow when they cast one.

So the United States will be a cornerstone of world power but not the only such place to be considered a 'superpower' by 2043. Control, dominance and capitalization of world markets requires the need to do the same first with regional populations operating on a global scale. This requires several major nodes over many smaller ones all over the planetary map. The E.U. is one node, China another, probably Russia someday and it seems definitely Brazil & maybe India, too will be major nodes.

The good ole US of A alone can't seem to dictate to everyone in the usual apparent way and expect a happy acceptance in a representative global demoocracy- that would be dictatorial, like oppressively, like ya know! It also wouldn't work. The good ole US of A is no longer the only gig in town, either.

Embrace diversity!

As far as "best places to live" to prosper, the economy...it's already gone!

Irrelevant, they are the same regardless of personal belief on this topic, global nation-based power. Or as I once remarked to some ornery liberal 'progressive' in Seattle, face-to-face, while chewing existential cud with a social group our modern economic theory leading up to the 2006 mid-term US elections, "The rich don't care what colors their charges are as long as they accept and obey their will and behave civilly". You can imagine the response... confused outrage employing popular buzz-words & stock sentiments determinedly vented for the sake of saving face when reality was pointed out & defined.

Example: You may like or dislike the current political... climate... in America today. You may love what Mr. Obama represents or wish Mr. Romney had won to vanquish the growing unease over the direction in which our country is headed. As I see it, the whole point to this bizarre drama is to further these aims of corporate globalists. In order to make the US citizenry more accomodating of global policies and people, some nationalistic & ethnic/cultural pride has to be whittled down. Financial ways must be altered thru manufactured crises. Obama is merely serving in the same capacity but in a variegated way to distance the connection from policies emplaced by Bush II and those previous to him. Look at the pattern. Reagan & Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, Obama (Clinton II). Prior to that you had Nixon-Ford-Carter, made into silly jokes to make the impact of later figureheads and their policies seem responsible, needed and important. This is why Gitmo is not closed, the PA II was not rescinded, DHS and the TSA are going full-tilt, the borders were not closed at all on 09/12/2001 or since, WS bailouts were made, lackadaisical immigration non-enforcements, etc. Each and every one has furthered the goals of the last beyond partisan platforms, in fact, using these platforms to make it appear exactly as if they are not in cahoots. The intent is to loosen & replace what used to be the status quo with a newer modus operandi. And they're not finished at all... so stay divided & distracted by the atheistic machinations of the New Red-Brown-Yellow-Beige-Olive-Black & Burnt Orange Menace or the Old Capitalist Jesus Brigade here but to save souls for the sake of honoring old habits.

So, anyway. Look into what these actors of the last 32 years actually presided over when they represented the Oval Office but first remove the partisan blinders and your personal moral beliefs when you do. There is a definite collusion and it is diverse indeed. Notice Bush I's sudden lackluster performance in the 1992 race & commoner Clinton's dark-horse victory. Bush II's evil usurpation of the presidency. Obama's victorious exultation-of-the-downtrodden-masses vindication appeal delivering the presidency (with the help of Ms. Dizzy Wasilla, 1984). This last mess with Romney taping a we-hate-the-poor-as-usual private fundraising 'gaffe' was released purposely and maybe not created but definitely allowed to air by someone you may not like to identify as the usual partisan suspects. We know by instinct how these things works in America so we know this is subterfuge or we are unconcious and devoted to emotion for the sake of a feeling, any feeling. Personal wishes are irrelevant in the march of progress whether intoned as a need to revert to old definitions of traditions no longer held sacrosanct or apparent "Move Forward" appeals toward a progress so much like the old progress but with a prettifying facelift and a new, burgeoning set of teated curvations.

I feel kinda sorry for earnest hot-headed skinheads and dedicated NBP folks and such as they have no hope for their glorious revenge fantasies whatsoever. Liberal 'progressives' will accept any old situation as long as it looks young and they are validated by an authority conspicuously abused in their stated beliefs but inherently necessary in their demanded establishment of modern 'rights' & benefits. Neither do traditionalists have a prayer, nor those who fail to understand what Justice Scalia said about the US constitution most recently, a document 200 years past its expiration date that holds no true meaning in this age except to those who embrace the mere fetish of its physical age and historical connotations. Sorry, it is dead and UN decrees paired with corporate interests hold more weight than that beautiful but tragically unrevised and uncared for bit of then-relevant intellectual artistry (the last two words here are high praise from me, BTW).

So diversity or collusion... or possibly both? Maybe "Monarchy" simply had a few drinks by the palace fire and decided it needed a new name and methods of understated authority, so it started calling itself "Corporation" with a modern liberal-socialist-like mantra as opulent miter.

Maybe you ought to educate yourself on all of that before you go comparing apples to monkeys.
Why should they accept migration at all? The entire third world would move to Sweden if Sweden allowed it. They are under no obligation to "adjust" to foreigners .
