If all the adults in the Ct. school were trained and carried semi-automatics on their person, one or more might have nailed the shooter before he murdered so many kids. Then again, it's possible that more would have been shot and/or young children would have picked up the weapons and gone to town.
Can you imagine?
This seems to be the arguement for people who love guns. "If everyone had a gun this stuff wouldn't happen". Would you want all your kids teachers walking around with a gun? What if they get fired and went haywire and just start shooting. What if it accidently discharges in the room. If everyone walked around with a gun every single arguement would have the chance to end with someone dead. Funny how people think "if more people are armed there will be less shootings".
With that said I'm not sure if gun control is gonna do much. You would have to find a way to get every single gun off the street. It only takes one person to do this kind of thing and there will always be millions of illegal guns on the street.
If everyone had a gun this would not happen? Great...if every cave man carried a club there would be peace in the valley. You can't have a society were every human being is capable of killing another human being with the squeezing of a trigger...That would be a place called hell...Why is America even thinking about establishing hell on earth?

Gun's don't kill ... people kill ... and they don't need guns to kill.
Both of those guns were registered to good old mom. Both were not the type of gun a house wife buys for protection, rather something that would be owned by a police officer... or a wanna be tough guy.. That tells me sonny begged mom to purchase them for him and register them in her name. He couldn't buy or register them in his name, so he talked mom into buying them. I'm sure she had no idea what he had in mind. She still should have know better....
Unless she purchased them knowing his intentions, she bears no responsibility other than not being a good parent...
I suggest you read more. You jumped to conclusions here assuming she was Donna Reed or somebody.
She was a gun collector and went target shooting fairly often.
Adam Lanza, 20, went to a Dick's Sporting Goods store in Danbury, Conn., on Tuesday to buy the weapon, but was turned down because he didn't want to undergo a background check or abide by the state's waiting period for gun sales, the officials said.
Guess that puts to bed the arguments about gun control laws preventing this.

People need to understand most of these mass shootings are not random. The people who do them are often mind controlled. The process is explained here:
Gun's don't kill ... people kill ... and they don't need guns to kill.
When someone needs killing I do it with my bare hands.
