The closest I ever came to it was, while taking an African-American literature course to satify three hours of my humanities requirement, when a fellow white student (there were only three whites in the class) mentioned he felt guilty during our reading of, I believe it was, Frederic Douglas. Then the other white student agreed that she felt guilty too. Of course, people then kind of looked at me to see if I would agree to the sentiment expressed by my guilt-ridden co-whites. I stated I had done enough things to feel guilty about in my life without taking on the faults of a whole race. This sparked a bit of a discussion. The teacher, a black female, kept a neutral position, in fact she said very little, throughout the discussion.
If I was asked the same question today I would have to say that I do not primarily identify as white. Unlike Most African-Americans, whites do not really have a shared history that leads to identifying yourself as white. The white guilt thing is probably taught by some loony profesors in a few places. Nothing to worry about.
So that in that video in this thread, at one point one of the women says something like "in college I was taught that the white race is the cause of society's problems" or something like that.
That's a story you see a lot of on the internet. Someone talking about their socialist liberal homosexual muslim professor blaming white people for everything and telling white students they should feel guilty for their ancestors' actions.
But in my experience in college, I have never ever witnessed that. Maybe it's because I'm a business major and didn't take things like "race relations 100" for my core requirements, but I've seriously never been lectured to about white guilt or any other **** that the Internet says happens in every college in America.
So what say you, students and grads of P&OC? Were you ever witness to this stuff or can we safely say that it's a load of bull**** spread by people who are generally anti-education?
I went to UT-Austin in the PC-heavy mid-1990s, and it was never suggested to me by any professor that I should feel guilty for being white. I was in the College of Liberal Arts too so if anyone was likely to hear something like that, it was me.
Nope. I never heard any such thing being mentioned, or even implied... and I was an Ethnic Studies minor (English Lit major) at a liberal arts college in California.

No. And I went to a liberal school with liberal professors and I majored in IA.
It's quite ridiculous, some of this PC anti-white rubbish.
The white man should be looked up to for getting the world organised, not the other way around.
I guess that would be considered a racist statement by some, but it's just calling a spade a spade IMO
I really hope that wasn't supposed to be a double entendre... will give you the benefit of the doubt, but seriously bad choice of words there.
As for the rest of your post, this "PC anti-white rubbish" is mostly a fabricated myth to stir up the masses - just look at the responses to this thread. Did you attend college in the US, and if so, do you recall any of this "anti-white" stuff being taught?
What I did learn was the truth about some things, like small pox in blankets "given" to native americans; slavery; treatment of most immigrant peoples (Irish need not apply).
I also learned in political science some actual facts, not fictions.
Maybe I learned a little about the responsibility that white men should have accepted for their actions.
Basically, I was offered information and made my own judgments about the information.
If you were being taught about widespread use of smallpox infested blankets by whites against native Americans, you were the victim of a lying instructor.
Or is it you who is not being truthful?

Nope...once or twice I had run in's with professors that tried to fail me because of my viewpoints. However I attended a conservative college that instilled community service (we had to complete 1000 hours to graduate). I'm glad because it opens you up to giving of yourself and your time to others that need it.
