How did the Tea Party Congress members rack up bills when all they do is vote No on everything? Isn't that what stupid liberals everywhere are always bitching about?

What next, are you going to explain how the Tea Party is to blame for all of the spending that Obama has done?

What if the parent is a drunkard or drug addict like today's GOP?

The democrats controlled both houses of congress for four years, and the last two of those years 0bama was president, and yet you blame the republicans in Aug 2011 for the credit downgrade? Really? The dems controlled it for four years straight, and it's not their fault, or 0bama's fault?

You don't think 0bama running up $4 trillion in new debt from Jan 2009 to Aug 2011 had anything to do with a debt downgrade? Four trillion in two and a half years!!

Try reading the reason for why our credit rating was downgraded in Aug 2011. It was downgraded because 0bama would not agree with the Republican congress to reduce federal deficit spending.

Even a heavily biased liberal should be able to understand that.

The credit downgrade wasn't due to financials or fundamentals, the credit rating agencies voiced concern over our political gridlock. Their concern wasn't if we could pay, it was whether we would pay.

As soon as we hit the libs like him with the facts and the truth they will start name calling us, then go away to ignore it all.... once they have purged their minds of the truth, they start posting this same idiotic crap all over again. Rinse, repeat.

If the Republicans didn't play politics with America's debt ceiling our once sterling credit would never be downgraded. Republicans forced the downgrade just as they are trying to force a default today.

Most of the debt that we have today stemmed from spending that was authorized by the GOP Congress under Bush. For Republicans today to say they are not paying the bills they racked up, they are playing a dangerous game with the full faith and credit of the United States.

Where did you think the money for two unfunded wars and tax cuts for the super-rich would come from?

This is exactly what happened but they can only finger point instead of actually do some work to fix the problems.
