No, thanks to Cantor and the wing nuts. The TP seats would have been Establishment GOP seats, and JB could control adults. But the TP, by not having the guts to become a Third Party, effectively ceded control to the White House/Senate combo.
Obama pimped slapped the House GOP on the fiscal cliff deal. He's gonna pimp slap them again on the debt ceiling.

He made the mistake of trying to compromise with them. He thought they actually cared about solving problems. I'm glad he wised up.
We are living through a very important and enlightening era of American politics right now. The Republican party as most of us have known it up until now, is rapidly destroying itself based almost soley on the fact that it can't seem to accept a person of color as it's leader. Proof will show itself in the following posts. Watch the reactions. Watch the hatred. Watch the lack of discipline as the extreme right-wing factions of the party, (if you want to call it that anymore) continue to spew what can only be described as racism bubble-over! It's almost sad to watch. I guess the thing I wonder about most, is why they can't seem to recognize what they're doing to themselves? Is their hatred so deep-rooted that even common-sense is no longer common? I would presume....yes.
But the truth is, they COULD...they CAN...recognize what the rest of the world sees, but I guess the pain of reality hurts so bad that they just continue to create their own alternate-reality. In a way it's sad, but then again, this IS what they wanted and at this point they just won't allow themselves to...(BOW-DOWN) to a man of color. Here's a hint: He's the President of the United States; just like ALL the other Presidents. The only difference is...well...the history books will explain it in years to come, 'cause no matter what is said or done, the hatred is SO DEEP that right now NOTHING WILL HELP them see the truth. (Except guns. Which will also backfire, because of the non-restrictive rules promoted by the NRA): Thanks for your help. It took a few hundred years, but we've finally arrived!
