I handled guns before many times, no big deal, didn't make me braver. Only an insecure dude would get courage from a piece of metal.

The answer to the OP's question is no.

You see, if you're a Bad Mother [expletive]er, as seen in the movie "Pulp Fiction", you are still a Bad Mother [expletive]er even if you don't have a firearm.

I am such a person.

I have confronted many dangerous situations without having a firearm. My training on US Navy submarines was to go toward emergency situations, so that's what I do, if I think I can help. I saved a woman's life from a psycho who ran after her when she got off light rail in downtown San Jose, I saved two women from another psycho in a parking garage there, I saved a woman who was being harassed by her ex boyfriend with huge biceps when I was working as an unarmed security guard, and I also saved a woman who was being choked by her daughter (also when I was working as an unarmed security guard).

I would like to see some of these gun nuts do any of that stuff if they didn't have their gun on them.

I have firearms training from the military, and I stood armed watches, but now that I'm a civilian, I have never owned a firearm and have no intention of ever doing so. As a Bad Mother [expletive]er, I don't need a firearm.

I'll tell you who seems brave to me, these young career women running around the busy streets of New York, LA, and Chicago, with no firearm. They just go about their business oblivious to the danger around them. It's like they're not even scared, I don't get it.

I'm a woman who owns four guns personally. And I do have part-ownership in a gun store that belongs to my family. That makes me more masculine, more tough, and more brave, than a lot of posters on this thread huh

Me either.
Yes, I have, to be honest about it.
I wouldn't call my wife "limp wristed", but she used to be a better shot than I was with the 45LC single action revolver I once had.
She also regularly filled her deer tag with a scoped semi-auto Remington 30-06.
There were a couple of guys in my high school class that were obviously not the most masculine guys on the planet, but they owned guns and were good shots.
But then, back in the late 1950's all us Montana teenagers had guns.

This old thread doesn't specify if the gun owners s/he is referring to in the post are legal or illegal owners.

I am a woman and legally own two guns. I could give a **** about perception, in fact no one knows I have them other than my family and the people at the gun range who see me shooting them.
