you dont understand what I wrote. the police are there for the general populace, not the single individual or group. you could be getting robbed and raped and having already dialed 911 to report the crime in progress and the cops just decide that you are going to be waiting awhile until they respond to you. would you not want the most effective tool you could have in order to defend yourself?

why is it that democrats, liberals and even some moderate republicans always seem to think that the "people" mentioned in the 2nd Amendment is not referring to the individual person, but the "people" in any other Amendment refers to the individual person.
