This one was stained, well they're all stained but this one had blood on it, on sale for under a buck.

Are you saying that I am ignorant of the history of the American south? Since you don't know me, and since I haven't been discussing the history of the American south in much depth on this thread (or others) - instead choosing to focus on what the Confederate flag represents TODAY to many people - I don't see how you'd know just how familiar I am with the history of the American south.

So you must be calling me ignorant simply because I don't agree with you. Which is - well...let's just say, not a very good argument.

If states want to keep the image on their state flags or fly it on a statehouse (provided it is below the American flag), I fail to see what is so wrong with that.
I think you are historically ignorant.

1. The percentage of slave owners has nothing to do with the favorability of slavery.

2. Slaves were expensive so no, every family did not have one, But in Mississippi, the population was 49% slave owners. The percentage of overall slave owners in the South fluctuates depending on the data, but it seems it was between 25 and 35% with the number occurring the most being 30.9% of southerners overall being slave owners, That is NOT an extreme minority as you put it. lets also remember that those with slaves had the most money. You really think politics is that much different than it is now ? money controlled politics then just as it does not.

( All slave states were not Confederate states, remember Deleware was a slave state with only 3% of its population being slave owners, that may be where you are getting your argument of extreme minorities from.)

4. You dont see the problem with raising the flag of rebellion? Regardless of if you think that flag symbolizes slavery or not , i dont think you can debate it symbolizing the confederacy itself and their rebellion.

5.since you cant see why it symbolize slavery, i think i can help you out.

People who defend the flag say that the Civil War wasnt about slavery. It was about states rights, tariffs, industry, and representation.

Well the States right they were fighting for was the right to own slaves.

The tariffs that are always brought up were written by southerners

The industry they were fighting for was food crops, tobacco and cotton. Done by free labor from slaves.

The Representation had to do with Southerners wanting black people to be counted as full people, but still property so that southerners could had more representation in congress.

all the reasons to say the confederate flag( and the confederacy itself) didnt have to do with slavery are all either false or tie back into slavery.
