A friend of mine was attempting to be funny by giving me a confed flag for a gift one time, me being the practical person that I am made good use of it by using as a mat to scrub my boots on before entering the house, I take great pleasure out of dirtying that old rag.
I have always loved the look of the Confederate Battle Flag. It's grand looking and it makes southerners feel proud of their heritage. Unfortunately the flag was taken down but I think it should have remained for historical purposes. There is nothing wrong with that flag.
I agree with you 100%. The Confederate flag is very much a part of the South's history and there is nothing wrong with flying it. If some *******s are offended, that is their own damned problem.
Yes. It had to be done for national security purposes.
Haaaaaaaaar! You didn't inter the Irish did you and more of them living in the U.S. were rooting for Hitler than Japanese living within your borders of the day.
Japanese living in those internment camps actually enlisted and fought with the U.S of A.
Security my azz; same, same, today. You're sold a bill of goods by a corrupt government that wants to diminish your rights and freedoms by convincing you that giving them up is needed for your security.
The flag is divisive and unnecessarily inflammatory.
I'd chalk that up to people who are historically illiterate. As the saying goes, "heritage not hate." Even being west coast born and raised the Confederate flag doesn't bother me one bit. People say it represents slavery which I find rather odd considering that slave owners were an extreme minority. If states want to keep the image on their state flags or fly it on a statehouse (provided it is below the American flag), I fail to see what is so wrong with that.

Another teenager trying to act like a bad ass...amusing if it wasn't such a pathetic attempt.

Actually German-American's were thrown in the camps as well. Some were kept past the end of the war as well.
