Well, CA pretty much outlaws self defense anyway. The "submit and hope you get mercy" mentality pretty much started there. Just give the bad guys what they want and they will let you live, and that includes rape. Who dreams this s*** up?! Legislators with a small army of armed security methinks. The rest of us just have to take our chances.

It has been said, for quite a while now, that CA is the big "trendsetter" . As goes CA, so goes the nation. It seemed to be the truth for quite a while, and as things just got more and more daffy, coming out of the golden shower state, folks saw the light.

One of our favorite sayings, here in rural NV, is, "We don't CARE how you did it in CA"!! This, as more and more transplants show up, claiming to want to get away from the lunacy, yet try and bring it with them. It's a shame, really. CA is a beautiful state. I love the central and North coast country, and the Sierra coothills and Western Sierra mountain regions are just fine country. It just has the unfortunate issue of being in CA.

Its rather interesting talking to folks in the North of CA. North of San Fran, the people hate the laws they are forced to live under as much as we non residents think these laws are insane. They just don't have the voting numers to counteract tbe urban fruitcakes.

Yep, folks in places like Modoc and Alturas don't like being under the thumb of the nuts from Sac, San Fran, LA and such, not one bit. They would happliy secede, were that possible.

of course not, I just find it funny that the left things the right is so dangerous..

As for the Neo Cons in our party, their days are numbered. We will become what we should have being from the days of Goldwater, standing firm in our convictions of limited government, low tax, personal choice, pro 2nd Amendment, secure border as a party, if you compromise on fundamentals and principals you don't have any, do you?

If you don't stand for something you`ll fall for anything

All compromise is based on give and take, but there can be no give and take on fundamentals. Any compromise on mere fundamentals is a surrender. For it is all give and no take.

California also has term limits so they jump houses then go for a statewide office then the Governorship then a county Board of Supervisors and throw in a mayoral and city council run somewhere in there. Once they've gotten a taste of the trough they can't let go. As they burn through offices and term out of them they're replaced by their brothers, sisters, cousins, parents, children, etc.

You see, Californians love political families and dynasties and think everyone's representatives are lame except their own so they keep voting for them and their relatives and clones.

"Assualt rifle" is a liberal creation that has no true meaning.

Here is the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution:

Quote:
A well regulated militia, necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".
Where in that portion of the constitution does it say that any particular type of firearm is not permissible for people to keep and bear?

What people refer to as "assault rifles" or "assault weapons" in the context of the proposed bans are actually nothing more than modern sporting rifles, and are functionally identical to a variety of traditional hunting rifles.
