What shape do you think the country would be in now if McCain/Palin won in 2008?

About the same.

Maybe a little better off because they wouldn't have interfered in the economy so much.

Doesn't really matter though. Since they weren't elected no one can say. It's just meaningless, pointless guessing.

Sorta like I just enganged in above.

It's not guessing.

Look at McCains voting record.

For one thing, he proposed a smaller stimulus and more tax cuts.

...The Democrats voted against this plan.

Impossible to predict. If they had won, the 2010 election would have gone completely differently. Even if we knew what their policies would have been and what their responses to natural disasters and foreign affairs would have been, we can't know how successful they would have been in implementing them.

We'd certainly have at least somewhat less debt, somewhat better business climate, and the situation in the Middle East would be somewhat more stable. Beyond that, who knows.

And that's an honest assessment. I'm sure the Obama cheerleaders will be eager to predict complete disaster.

I would say if McCain won, it would be a catastrophe of epic proportions... unfortunately, Obama proved to be worse...

No it's not. In several issues, McCain is just a miniature Obama.
