That would be me and I purposely didn't inject one side or the other.
The USPS is in deep financial trouble and has been on that track for years under both D and R administrations.
It's a bipartisan financial nightmare with no reform in sight.
The tax on email has been proposed since spam started, it's an idea as old as email. The subject of the thread even stated while the tax was not an origional idea...the direction of the revenue was the only thing he tossed out there. You are interjecting yourself into the conversation by making it seem like I am accusing you of something I did not, only the OP of the thread who did make it about left or right.
Please stop doing this. I have asked you to not do this more then once because it's dishonest and annoying.

It is funny how the right screams outrage daily about "political correctness" stifling free speech, and if some one says something they don't like Fox screams in outrage at the whsiper of speech they disagree with. The hypocrisy is astonishing.
This is the kind of lunatic behavior made me leave right America. Get a grip on sanity.
So, its the entire Democratic party? Where is the link to this legislation thats being proposed, I assume in the Senate as it would never get to the floor in the house.
Or is it just one representative or Senator being silly, kind of like that Republican representative who wanted to pass legislation saying the President couldn't golf until the budget was balanced?

I posted a link since the OP didn't. It's not a Senator or even legislature being proposed. It was a silly idea from a councilman in Berkeley, CA.

Some drug addled radio talk show host said "the left". That`s all they need.
It was a single councilman by the name of Gordon Wozniak in Berkeley, CA. ... Nothing in the article states whether or not Mr. Wozniak is left-wing or right-wing, though.
Are you KIDDING???
First of all, it's a suggestion for an absolutely ridiculous and unenforceable tax. That alone is strongly indicates that it's a far-left loon proposing it.
Second, and this should be enough to prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that this guy's a bat-poop lefty, HE'S A CITY COUNCILMAN FROM BERKELEY!
Come on, gC...
