I worked on this installation for 15DHS years. Its contractor operated. Same contractor for 30 years. The place is a dump. Marines and other branch SOCOM types train tbere because the terrain is very much like places in the middle east. This was an annual exercise called Javelin Thrust.

Whatever live ammo these guys had came in with them. Its all seperate from daily ops, the contractor just supplies billeting. Sequestration had NOTHING to do with this acident. Everything yhe Marines could possibly need was on hand. However the round blew, underfunding was not part of the problem.

Waste and pork spending? Lots of that. Millions of dollars get thrown out so the contractor can squander it. The joint is a money vortex, and no shortage of cash to suck into it. Oh....I know this place, all to well. Yea Harry, sequestration my azz!

Absolutely!! Pure disgusting politics! The town surrounding the installation is the ONLY town north of Beatty that always votes Reids way. That's a few thousand votes, no small potatoes in N NV. And sequestration has not effected that junkyard in the least!

Is there any other type of politics? This happens all the time. Bush politicized the deaths of 3,000 Americans to wage a war for imperialism. Business as usual as far as I'm concerned. If you cant handle this, than you should avoid politics.

Here's more from the wonderful man the Democrats choose to lead the Senate:

Reid, 2007: I believe myself that the secretary of State, secretary of Defense and — you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows … this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday

Washington Post, 2009: His (Obama's) plan features a longer timetable, commander flexibility, tactical adjustments and the presence of some 50,000 American troops for years. It is fully consistent with the 2008 Bush-Maliki agreement.

Reid, 2011: There is no question that the Iraq we leave today will face tremendous challenges as it strives to stand on its own. However, I am confident that the policies President Obama has pursued in Iraq will position the United States to effectively guard our security interests in the region, and to continue our support of Iraq’s own development.

Pathetic is the only word I can think of to describe it.

That is all this side has, is using an opportunity such as this, to whine and cry, and act the fool we know they are.

He is scum. A scumbag no less. Can't for the damn life of him just give sincere condolences, has to open up the ignorant mouth of his while playing politics.

That side is getting more disgusting and sickning by the moment.
