A group of legal experts have published a report which contains 130 cases that can be qualified as police brutality against Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York.

Researchers at NYU and Fordham University have concluded that NYPD officers acted beyond their powers during their intense crackdown against Occupy protesters.

Findings from the eight-month study serve to validate months of claims that demonstrators were, in fact, mistreated by officers.

"We didn't consider it a protest," said OLA's Cheryl Aichele. "We were just passing out fliers and offering chalk to visitors," she said. Despite the non-threatening tactics of OLA, the LA Police Department came prepared with riot gear, demanding that the crowd disperse. The massive police intimidation brought children in attendance to tears.

One occupier asked an officer if their gathering was illegal. The officer was caught on video saying, “For right now it’s illegal.” While it is obvious that chalk easily washes off with water, the LAPD selectively enforces laws against vandalism despite a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling, which found that “no reasonable person could think that writing with chalk would damage a sidewalk.”

Chalkers included a small, core group of Occupy LA members, but the majority of chalkers were passers-by, including artists, art lovers and children. Members of Occupy LA say that 100 percent of the people injured by LAPD with "less-than-lethal” weapons were not active members of their group and nearly 90 percent of the people arrested by LAPD Thursday night were non-Occupiers.

There were 17 people arrested that night and several others wounded, as the police used excessive force with batons and rubber bullets. In multiple YouTube videos, a man can be seen trying to follow police orders and walk back on the sidewalk as directed. He is shot by a rubber bullet and then kicked in the face while down on the ground.

Just like to state that I think the recent law enforcement shootings have been pretty tragic and deserve justice. I seek justice for both sides equally when wrongdoing is involved.

To me the issue is stopping corruption on both ends. It's going to take more backbone from law enforcement, but also from citizens as well. IF there ever are large scale protest again, violent protesters should be dealt with as well as violent officers.

I believe we can all agree on that.

Protests are being planned for the year as Millenials make their move to influence policy.

Police brutality and intimidation will not be tolerated.

African Americans and hopefully Hispanic Americans will be joining the cause.

Most of the protesters deserve it, they break the law by being violent, trespassing, charging the police and the police just do their job be responding.

I find it strange how people riot and get confused why they are being pepper sprayed.

Would it take people of a different race being beaten and intimidated for Americans to stand up? Would it have made a difference if the protesters were black?

When black people join the movement to end working poverty will you finally stand up for your fellow Americans?

Your a liar plain and simple.

There were millions of protesters.

This country would've been burning if the protesters acted as you say. I suggest you inform yourself.
