Obama is president and no matter what he does, no matter where he is fundraising, fear mongering, you will be a good little Obama follower and defend everything he does.
Actually I would like to see unemployment to be at zero, but when have we ever had zero unemployed in this country.

The average salary for a board certified physician is 236K. The average starting salary for even the lower paid physician categories is still above 150K. Higher ones such as neurosurgeons and orthopedists start at over 220K.

I'm sure that's peanuts compared to what you make so you can feel sorry for the paltry salaries that physicians make.

Well, that's that - the debate is settled. The system works if you have money, what could possibly be more fair?

I have faith in the free market. Medical schools will accept more applicants and graduate more doctors.
1. Those "millions with healthcare insurance" are just new Medicaid patients. Many physicians already do not accept Medicaid patients. Our multi-specialty clinic will not accept "Obamacare" patients when they are rolled out, nor will any clinic in our city.

2. Adding 40 million potential patients would require-
a. 80,000 new physicians
b. reimbursement for those patients that would allow them to keep thier doors open
c. increased emergency rooms and hospital facilities
d. 80,000 new residency slots (Obamacare CUTS funding for residency slots. Therefore, we will have FEWER PHYSICIANS due to Obamacare!)

3. Medical schools and residencies are not mom and pop stands.
a. They require funding from the state and federal governments, as well as residency positions to which those graduates can be sent for training.
b. Obamacare CUTS THE NUMBER OF RESIDENCY SLOTS, thus reducing the number of physicians.
c. any increased number of medical students would require more staff physicians and infrastructure to train them.

Gee............... one would have thought the libs would have thought this out a little earlier!

20% cut for the Pentagon? You realize Obama has already gone on record he doesn't want to cut even 5% from the defense budget.

How's he going to finish the job? Obama is freaking people put by saying a 5% defense budget cut means lost jobs.

We live in a very complex world where defense spending cut will means lost of millions of jobs down to the janitors. We live in a very complex world where health care cuts also men's lost of millions of jobs down to the janitors. It's is a mess. Everyone with their hand in the cookie jar.

Your presidential campaign may be turning into a cult if…

1. Supporters are asked to pledge their allegiance.
Obama fans were asked to inscribe their hands with the reason they're standing with the president and then "put your hand over your heart for a quick smartphone photo."

2. College professors are administering actual loyalty oaths.
A professor at Brevard Community College in Florida has forced her class to sign a pledge that read, "I pledge to vote for President Obama and Democrats up and down the ticket."

3. Every email carries celebrity validation.
One more celebrity-laden photograph, tweet or email and Obama for America will be indistinguishable from the Church of Scientology.

4. Supporters faint at the Leader's appearance.
Twenty Obama supporters required medical treatment in Roanoke, Virginia on July 13. Before there was any sign of a heat wave, there were three separate fainting spells at Obama rallies in March. As the Eternal Leader noted, "This happens to me all the time."

5. Supports change their names, or at least their Twitter handles, to Hussein Obama.
At least if everyone becomes a "skinny kid with a funny name," we'll have found a way to solve the nation's obesity problem.

6. Obama tattoos are the season's hot fashion accessory.

7. The American flag is redesigned to feature an Obama logo.
These colors run for office in a particularly obnoxious way..

I will add two more.

8. Never wrong
When the man always blames everyone or anything else and the cult members parrot what they are told and worse yet believe that he is never at fault.

9. Defend No Matter What
When supporters will defend him no matter what he does even when it is obvious he is wrong or it was his fault.

I beg to differ. Many pediatricians, family practice and internal med docs start out even in the 90k salary range especially in big cities. Especially pediatricians.

There are many people with bachelor degrees who make $60-70k starting out.

Sure docs as they gain experience and seniority can make a lot more. But most primary docs I know make around 150-200 k. Factor in the average work week of 50 hours. It's not living the life of luxury. Add call responsibility. It's not as glamorous as it sounds.

Yes there are specialists making 300-600k. Sometimes more if they own their own surgery centers. Go ahead. Become a neurosurgeon. You will be close to 40 years old by the time your practice is up and running. Along with 250k in school loans. Last I heard. A prominent residency training program had a 120% divorce rate. Yep. Neurosurgery is a long training process. So long the medical residents get divorce even 2 times while in training.

Apparently for most of you who do not work in a hospital, this conversation has little meaning. The healthcare bill means that fewer people will not be abusing the ER for minor things and that they will go to their providers instead and earlier thus preventing the higher cost of treating something in the earlier stages (think cancer) before it spreads (gets worst) thus saving the hospitals and tax payers alot of money.

Now the deal with the shortage of physicians have more to do with government cuts in the cost of schooling these physicians. Now I'm going to make this clear, the people who are making these cuts can care less about us pee-ons because they all have top rate insurance coverage and physicians. If they really wanted to fix this probelm all they had to do was give them incenitives such as school loan forgiveness for every year that that work at a discounted rate in an under represented community. The real probelm is not the Obamacare it is the increasing cost of college and graduate schools. At this rate only the wealthy will be able to attend college and the rest of us will only be able to fill secondary occupations.
