Christians would be wise to avoid nearly all middle east locations.

That picture has been floating around roughly forever. There's zero evidence that it even happened in Saudi Arabia, much less that it was punishment for reading the Bible.
Unfortunately they do. I didn't open the link but knew that was the lic and when i read your post i decided to open it and i was right.

When people hate or love things enough like this they believe everything that supports them ...

Admittedly, I did not read all of this thread before I went and found this. Sorry if I'm duplicating someone's effort.

Great, let's return to the Dark Ages.

Having said that I think North American Christians (of which I am not one) should be very concerned - and even agitate - against the many human rights abuses against their co-religionists residing in Islamic countries. Outrages against not only targeting Christians, but Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, Baha'is, Sikhs take place in many Muslim countries including the supposedly "moderate" ones like Malaysia and Indonesia.

Laura Bush has tried to be a voice.....I haven't seen much action on this from our present President and First Lady. Even while visiting the areas President Obama has never addressed the killings of Christians, women, children and non-Christians. Knowing Christians are being killed in Egypt we are still sending rebels weapons, how Christian does that make our President?

Doubt it. I went to parochial schools. I attended a Christian college for two years during which I took History and Literature of the OT and History and Literature of the NT. It was this study of the bible that caused me to lose my faith. That book gives an absurd depiction of a god!

Then I went to a public university and learned real science, logic, and sanity!
